Leonard Cohen

An extraordinarily poetic singer, Cohen is one of the things I have entirely inherited from my father’s music taste. He is versatile, with a voice that much like wine, improves with age and with his eternal smoking. No song has been covered more successfully than Hallelujah, and that must count for something.

If rum were a voice, it would be Conte. Lawyer turned songwriter, a treasure on the current Italian musical scene, this man manages to make songs about women calling their lovers monkeys and flatulence in the dark absolute masterpieces.
